InqScribe is a transcription and subtitling tool. It features a rather simple interface that can be used to transcribe text from a video file.
Inqscribe can be completely used with your keyboard. You do have to create shortcuts first, but they are easy to create and they work great. Most of the shortcuts are to be used to control video playback, and some to insert time marks and other data. I like that you can slow the play rate of the video up to 0.1 times the real speed. That is of great help when the speaker talks fast.
Also, there is a snippets feature that allows you to create snippets of text that you use frequently so that you don't have to type the same words repeatedly. InqScribe features subtitle support as well, so you can create a subtitle file out of your transcription after you are done with it.
